Mother's Day Card

Ok So I was sitting at the computer thinking about what style card I wanted to make for my mom and I seen a card on the Cricut message board photo gallery. Sorry I don't remember whose card it was there were so many, I got overwhelmed. The difference was the card on the gallery was all flowers and mine has the word MOM in the middle. This project has no Cricut use to it. I punched out the squares from scrap foil cardstock using a 1 1/4 inch square punch and measured the square mat after placing all the smaller squares down. The yellow ribbon is from a spool I picked up at Michael's on a shopping trip. The sentiment is from the All Occasion Messages set by Hero Arts. The ink is a Cocoa color by S.E.I. I found at the LSS before the closed. The flowers are from a winter prima set I purchased on sale at Oh My Crafts. Oh the MOM is just a set of clear epoxy stickers and brads I bought from Oriental Trading Company years ago. Thank you stopping by and looking. Have a great day, always comments are appreciated.

Vinyl Picture Frame and Card

Here is a project I made for my bff 's (sister) lil girl. The project was simple but made with lots of love. Its an ordinary picture I picked up at Wal-mart for like $3.00, ( I think). The backing is light pink glitter cardstock from DCWV glitter stack cut at 8 x 10. The butterfly was made on the gypsy using the gypsy wanderings cartridge fit to the size of the 8 x 10 frame. The paper is foil paper by Hot Off the Press that I bought from HSN back in February. The name is done with cricut vinyl, and placed on the inside of the glass. I used Gypsy Font for the S and Cursive 101 for the rest of the name and welded the letters together on the Gypsy.
The sketch for this card is actually from challenge # 14 on the OWH Stars and Stamps: Sketch challenge. Here is the site if you would like more details. http://www.owhstarsandstamps.org/search/label/Sketch%20Challenge This was my first card challenge with them and look forward to many more in the future.
The card is a simple 5 1/2 x 4 1/4 standard card. The base of the card was cuttlebugged with the Spots and Dots Embossing folder. The foil strip was scraps left from the butterfly and border punched with the Martha Stewart Scalloped Dot Edger punch. The ribbon is a brown American craft ribbon I picked up at Big Lots for a $ 1.00. The cupcake was cut using the From my Kitchen cartridge cut at 4 inches and layered accordingly. The sentiment is stamped on a couple of ovals and Stamped with a dollar stamp I bought at Michael's. Thanks for stopping by and Have a great day.

Baby's 1st Birthday Invitations

Ok wow it's been a week since I posted anything....Wow whats wrong with me. Well last week my 11 month old was teething really badly. After that hurdle, my 5yr old got sick. Well you all know how that works if one gets then the next and so on. So for the past week I have had 2 sick kids and myself to try and nurse back to health, not fun but we are getting there. So yesterday I was finally feeling a little better so I decided to work on my little guys 1st birthday invitations.
Nothing really special but hand crafted with love. Its a simple A2 card 5 1/2 x 4 1/4. The orange mat is also 5 1/2 x 4 1/4. All the animals are from the Zooballoo Cartridge. Not to sure on measurements I used my Gypsy to place everything. The sentiment is from the Wild Card Cartridge. Even on a boy's party invitation I used Stickles, it adds a little something. Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.

Getting Creative on the Expression

OK here is my very first project using the Cricut Vinyl. It was not as easy as the YouTube videos you see on the net but I will be making many more projects with vinyl now that I have the basics down.
For this project I used my Gypsy, the Expression of course, Cricut Vinyl in Black or Raven (I think that's the name of the color), transfer tape, Home Decor and Home Accents Cartridges. I can't tell you the exact measurements because I sized everything according to the front of the Expression. Thanks for stopping by and looking. Have a great day.

Easter Tag

Here is a quick Easter Tag I made for the treat bags I put together for my nieces and nephews for Easter. Everything was cut out using the my Cricut Expression and the Easter Mini Cartridge. The scalloped eggs are the shadow feature of the 1st egg on the cartridge, the bunny is the shadow feature and decorated with stickles. The grass is also from the Easter Cartridge. The doodle dots where made using a Signo Broad white gel pen and the sentiment was hand written using a Sharpie Fine tip marker. The ribbon is just plain Kraft ribbon I bought from Target. Thanks for stopping by and as always comment are appreciated. Have a great week.
