Surprise,Surprise,Surprise

Sorry I haven't posted since National Scrapbook Weekend but life got in the way. So yesterday I got 3 surprises in one day can you believe it. Well I knew about all of them but wasn't expecting them all on the same day. The best one was that my hubby is back in the States, safe and sound after his year of being in Afghanistan (YIPPEE!!!!!!!!!!). He is in Texas visiting with his dad and grandma and hopefully will be able to take leave and come home soon. The second surprise was my Create a Critter cartridge. I ordered from http://www.memorymiser.com on Friday, really fast shipping wasn't expecting so soon, now I can't wait to play. The last surprise was some stamps, bling and ribbons I bought on Sunday from http://www.cleardollarstamps.com/. Talk about fast shipping again. If you haven't looked at their site go take a peek around she has alot of great stamps and a bunch of clearance and retiring stamps right now, at really great prices too. She also has a stamp set called critter messages so cute and perfect for the Create a Critter cartridge. Well hope everyone is having a great week and thanks for stopping by. Have a fabulous day.

MPS NSD Challenge # 12

Here is a card I hate to make but I thought I would start to make them so when the time comes I will have one already made. If you are wondering what kind of card I am talking about then I don't blame you. It is a Sympathy card they are so hard to make and no one likes to have to make these anyways. Well Robyn's final challenge was to make a project with a critter on it and since I don't own Create a Critter yet I went to my trusty old Wild Card cartridge and found this bird instead. Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful evening it has been a fun filled weekend and I got all but one challenge done.

MPS NSD Challenge # 10

This challenge was to make a May Day project or something springy. Well when I think of spring I think of flowers and what better project then a daffodil card from the Easter Mini cartridge. Thanks for stopping by and have a great evening.

MPS NSD Challenge # 9

So this was a challenge to make a shape card. So I turned to my trusty Wild Card cartridge and made the phone to send to a friend who I have been playing phone tag with lately. Thanks for stopping by and have a great eveing.

MPS NSD Challenge # 8

As you can see from my blog I love purple and when this challenge came about what better color to pick then my favorite. The butterfly was cut from the Home Decor cartridge at 2 1/2" and the top mat is vellum that I cuttlebugged using the fancy swirls ( I think thats the name ) folder. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you are having a very creative evening, I know I am.

MPS NSD Challenge #6

I made this card with my 5yr old son. He picked out Winnie the Pooh because it is for our neighbor's daughter and she loves Winnie the Pooh. Her birthday is not until June but I thought I would get a head start now. I had fun crafting with my lil guy, he is a handful but not as much as my 11 month old. I guess you can say I was crafting with both of them. The baby was in my arms the whole time, you do what you have to do when the creativity is flowing, lol. Thanks for stopping by and have a great evening.

MPS NSD Challenge #5

I know I went a little out of order but I'm trying to do all the challenges before the midnight deadline, easier said then done. Well I created this card to thank the many ladies and volunteers of my Husband's FRG (Family Readiness Group) they have done so much during this deployment and I thought it would be nice to send a "Thank You" note. I have not met anyone personally due to the fact we live in a different state but they are all wonderful people. Thanks for stopping by and have a great evening.

MPS NSD Challenge # 7

So this card could have been done for either challenge #6 or #7, the card is a welcome home card for my hubby but was also made with my oldest son. He picked all the cuts and paper and said this is my daddy. So that's why I picked it for the "Hey Dad" challenge instead of the "Kids craft too" challenge. Thanks for stopping by and have a great week.

MPS NSD Challenge #4

This challenge made me think for awhile and then I came up with using the Jubilee cricut cartridge. I bought because I think the price was really low and then never used it. So this challenge was to use something you least like or least use on your project. The background paper is a piece of scraps I had from other cards. The star is from George and Basic Shapes and the "YOU ROCK" is actually a cut from the Jubilee cartridge, I was surprised to find that sentiment on there because most cuts have to do with houses and such. The card is actually a birthday card for my neice who is not a girly girl so thats where the colors come into play. Thanks for stopping by and have a great week.

MPS NSD Challenge #3

OK this challenge was to think outside the box and do something you normally wouldn't or have not done on your projects. Well for my project that would be the sentiment tag in the little envelope. The tag came in a bag of assorted stuff that I picked up at Big Lots on one of my shopping trips. I had no intentions of ever using it and put it aside in my RAK box with the intentions of doing a giveaway some day. Well when this challenge about I decided to take a look in the box seeing that I would never use that stuff on my projects and here is what I came up with. Think it turned out pretty great. Thanks for stopping by and have a great week.

MPS NSD Challenge #2

OK so I have made another card for the challenges over at The Pink Stampers website in honor of National Scrapbook Day. I will not being doing all of them but there are a couple that have gotten my creativity working. Thanks for stopping by and once again have a great weekend.

MPS NSD Challenge #1

OK so here is the project I created for My Pink Stamper's National Scrapbook Day Challenge #1. It was fun participating in this challenge seeing that Mother's day is next weekend and I haven't really sat down to make cards lately. So here is the finished project. Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend.
