My First Character Card

OK so here is the card I submitted for the My Pink Stamper Design Team. Well I didn't make it this month but maybe next time. It was my very first challenge and also my very first time playing with my Pooh Font cartridge. The characters aren't as hard as it looks. They actually go together like a little puzzle almost. They are kinda time consuming but they turn out so cute.
For the card measurements please visit Lorraine's blog http://cardcreationsbylorraine.blogspot.com/2010/02/pull-tag-birthday-card.html.
All the characters are from the Pooh Font cartridge and the sentiment is from the Wild Card cartridge.
The card was actually made for DH he is coming home soon and needs a little encouragement as it is getting closer to the end. We both love Winnie the Pooh and all his friends. Thanks for stopping by and taking a look. As always comments are always appreciated. Have a great day.

Quick & Simple Easter Card

Here is a quick and simple Easter card I put together last night in about 10 minutes. I needed a little scrap therapy and this is what I came up with.
Its a standard A2 size card (4 1/4 x 5 1/2). The patterned cardstock mat is cut at 4 x 5 1/4. Both the egg and the scalloped shadow was cut at 3 1/2 using the Easter Cartridge. I really like this cartridge it has some fun but dainty cuts on it. The flower is colored in with Stickles. I used Cotton Candy and Eucalyptus. For the dots I did the same colors. The ribbon is a sheer pink that I believe I picked up from Wal-Mart, my bows are not the best but it works. The doodle dots around the scallop was done using my Signo Broad white gel pen. Thanks for stopping in and looking. As always comments are always appreciated. Have a great day.

My Son's Challenge

So today my oldest son gave me a challenge. He asked, "mommy what is your favorite color?" I replied "Purple." He asked "why are all your cards made with pink then?" So that got me thinking, and this is the card I came up with. The flower is cut from the Easter mini cartridge @ 3 1/2 inches with the shadow as well. Its a simple 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 card.
The mats are 4 x 5 1/4 , 3 3/4 x 5 , & 2 3/4 x 4.
The sentiment is from My Pink Stamper Stamps, The Simply Sweet Occasions Set. All the edges are inked using a dark purple pigment ink from Studio G. The second mat was embossed using the Victoria folder by Provo Craft. Thanks for stopping by and looking. Comments are always appreciated.

Sophisticated Birthday Card

Here is a birthday card I made for my oldest sister. I used the Cuttlebug Victoria (I think) folder on the black cardstock to emboss. The foil paper is from Hot Off The Press I picked up on HSN when I bought the Cuttlebug. The ribbon is a roll I found at Michaels. I love the foil paper it brings a little something extra to the card. Hope you like it. Thanks for stopping by. Comments are always appreciated.

Busy,busy,busy

Sorry I haven't been on posting more projects or even a little something else. But between a teething and sick 10 month old, I have been living off of maybe 2-3 hours of sleep for the past week. But thankfully this morning he woke and was smiling and giggling like his old self again. So I am hoping to get the pictures downloaded and to start back on my blog sometime today or at least this weekend. Just a quick post to update everyone. Thanks for stopping by. Have a wonderful weekend.

Valentines Day Cards

I know its a little past Valentines day but I still wanted to showcase the cards I made for DH. Nothing fancy but were both made with the cricut.
The purple card is a gate fold card and the heart is cut using the Love Struck cartridge. I love all the intricate hearts on this cartridge. The card was actually inspired by a challenge that Robyn from http://www.mypinkstamper.com/ did at the end of January or the beginning of February. (can't remember exactly). Anyways the challenge was to create something using black and another color. So i choose purple it is my favorite color.
The monkey card is all cut using the Sweet Hearts cartridge. I love this monkey he is so cute. The saying is "I'm Bananas 4 You" . Hope you like it. Thanks for stopping by. Comments always welcomed.

Thank you Cards

Who says you need a cricut for creating beautiful cards. Both of these cards were created while I was waiting patiently for my replacement blades to arrive. See I live in a small town and the only store that carries Cricut and Provo Craft items is our local Wal-mart. Well needless to say when they are out of stock I have to rely on the many on-line stores I purchase from.
The flowers on both cards are from a Vellum flower kit by Cloud Nine, I was lucky enough to have stumbled upon them while browsing the local Big Lots. Hope you like them. Thanks for looking. Comments are always welcomed and appreciated.

Easel calendar cards

I got this idea from two people actually. The easel card part came from Dawn of http://dawnsstampingthoughts.net/. Check out all her wonderful You Tube videos. Then making it into a calendar card came from Lguild on the cricut message board, here is the link to the post that inspired these cards. http://www.cricut.com/messageboard/tm.aspx?m=6122830&mpage=1&key=&#6122830 . Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek at my paper crafting creations.

Altered Target Mailboxes

These are the 3 altered mailboxes I did for Valentines day. The paper I used is just some patterned paper I picked up in the $0.99 section of my local Target scrapbooking aisle. The ribbon is from Wal-mart. All the die cuts are from various cricut cartridges (honestly can't remember which ones) LOL. Oh and the BLING on each mailbox are little rhinestones from Colorbok, also picked up from the $0.99 section of Target. This project was so fun and easy, plus the receivers loved all the candy hiding inside. Thanks for stopping by.

Birthday cards

Here are a few birthday cards I have made using the cricut. The cupcakes were cut using the layer features of the cupcake card from the Wild Card cartridge. The pink and purple card's saying is also from the same cartridge. The pink card's saying is from the George and Basic Shapes cartridge. Oh and of course every card needs a lil "BLING". I used the Diamond Stickles for the icing on both cards. Hope you enjoy them as much as the little girls who received them did. Thanks for looking.

HSN Raspberry Cuttlebug

Yes I have to admit I was one of many ladies who took advantage of the wonderful bundle HSN put togeter for the exclusive Raspberry Cuttlebug. Also have to admit I have no idea what I did without it. I love my new cuttlebug and the butterfly design is an added bonus.

1st Shaker Card

After watching many YouTube videos I decided to try and create a shaker card. It's not as complicated as it looks. I used primary color seed beads due to the fact it was a birthday card for my nephew's 1st birthday. Hope you like it. Thanks for looking. (Sorry the picture is not the best.)

MIL Birthday Card

Here is a tri-fold card I made for my mother-in-law's birthday. It was my very first attempt at this type of card. I used DCWV paper and the Cricut for the cuts. Hope you like it. Thanks for looking.
